Our Hornchurch clinic was established in 2021 to offer specialist affordable treatment for all aspects of Osteopathy and Physiotherapy, including Back Pain, Neck Pain Treatment, Sciatica Treatment, Shoulder Pain, Sports Injuries, and Rehabilitation.
We are also a specialist centre for Spinal Decompression Therapy (IDD Therapy). IDD is one of the fasted growing and
most effective non-surgical treatments for chronic back pain, sciatica and neck pain due to bulging, herniation, slipped or degenerative discs (e.g. L4/5, L5S1) in the spine.
And along side plenty of hands on treatment (including acupuncture) our Osteopaths are able to offer Shock Wave Therapy, Laser and TECAR Therapy.

Do you offer non-surgical treatment for disc problems?
Yes. IDD Therapy is a safe alternative to spinal surgery. It's available at our Hornchurch clinic and helps relieve disc bulges, sciatica and chronic lower back pain. settings.
What other conditions do your Hornchurch osteopaths treat?
Our osteopaths help with joint pain, muscle tension, neck issues, sciatica, headaches and postural strain. We also work with patients recovering from injuries or managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as tendinopathy (Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tendonitis, plantar Fasciitis etc).
Do I need an MRI Scan to Receive IDD Therapy
Yes. To receive IDD Therapy need to have had an MRI scan (of your neck or lower back), this is so we can assess your suitablity and so we know which disc to target. Learn more about IDD Therapy - click here.
Can you refer me for an MRI scan
Yes! We work closely with several MRI centres, we have "preferred status" with these centres (such as InHealth Hornchurch) and can organise specialised spinal sequences, and MRI reports from specified radiologists from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (UK's leading radiologists), at no extra cost. Such sequences and reports are usually obtainable elsewhere (including on the NHS). The average cost of spinal MRI' scans we organise is £350. Furthermore, our Osteopaths have received specialist training in spinal MRI interpretation and making MRI referrals.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Many private health insurers cover osteopathy, and Shockwave therapy, some cover IDD Therapy. We can provide invoices for reimbursement. Contact your insurer to confirm eligibility.
