Beatriz had been suffering with severe back pain and trapped nerves in her legs, following two previous spinal surgeries. She had originally inquired with us about IDD Therapy, however due to having some surgical instrumentation in her spine (an interspinous spacer device) she was contra-indicated from receiving IDD Therapy

We reviewed Beatriz’s MRI reports and images and concluded that the scar tissue in her spine from her previous surgeries which was compounding her symptoms, might be amenable to a new therapy we had just started offering – TECAR Therapy. After just a few sessions she and we were thrilled with the results, and we were delighted to receive the following email from Beatriz’s son, Ed:

Dear Robert,

I wanted to let you know that my mother is finding the treatments of great help,

The pain has improved a lot and the intensity of it has diminished a great deal.  She is experiencing little or no pain on her back and little pain down her legs.  She is very happy because that alone has improved her quality of life.  She has started venturing out for short walks by herself and feels more secure in her balance.

However, the numbness down her leg remains but even that has improved as it’s now only from the knee down.  She is realistic about possible outcomes and was not expecting a miracle cure.

In addition, Akin has been very welcoming, patient and kind with my mother and has the best bedside manner, so an emphatic Thank You.

She wanted to know both your recommendation, is it best at the moment to keep the sessions once a week? Then at some point change them to fortnightly?

When you get a chance and you’ve had the opportunity to speak to Akin, let me know and I can inform her.

Thank you again Robert,
